Where

During June 12th - 20th, 2026, our Anam Cara Journey will be visiting 3 Islands, sleeping in 3 stunning locations and traveling to sacred sites including Stirling Castle, Kilmartin glen, the Isle of Luing, Oban and the Isle of Iona, as well as other sites along the way.

Gargunnock House

Landing at Gargunnock House in central Scotland, this will be our base camp for the first 3 nights. This stately home first came into being in the 16th century and has received various renovations. Today, it is a graceful and charming stately home with beautiful surroundings, with close access to central sites and a 45-minute journey from Edinburgh Airport. Whilst here we will be able to enjoy catered meals created by Jennifer's Aunt, a professional caterer. Here we will ground as a group and in our bodies, arriving on the land and forming a connection to ourselves, each other, and the journey we are embarking on.

Stirling Castle

Whilst staying at Gargunnock House, we will be 15 minutes from Stirling Castle. Stirling is one of Scotland’s greatest stone castles – an icon integral to how we understand the nation’s story. The castle peaked in importance in the 1500s, but its volcanic crag has been fortified since ancient times.' www.historicenvironment.scot

Dunkeld Fort

Our first pilgrimage site and a short hike. We'll visit the peak space where the kings of Scotland were crowned for over 300 years. Just beside it lies an ancient well, part of the infrastructure that once existed on this magnificent site.

Kilmartin Glen

Kilmartin Glen is full of sacred sites. Ranging from 3500 - 5000 years old, ancient tombs and standing stones fill the entire glen. We will spend an afternoon exploring this land and will hold a ceremony here, connecting with the wisdom of this ancient ancestral glen.

The Isle of Luing

On this small Island, we will be staying at Wild Luing. 'Our WildSuites are where luxury accommodation meets raw Atlantic beauty.'  (wildluing.com). Here we'll rest and reflect, supported by the unspoiled nature and ocean views, as well as enjoy their sauna and beautiful bathtubs. We will embrace this peaceful paradise with a deepening of our process, shedding our old skins with the help of the sauna and ocean waters. Here we will gift ourselves 24 hours of silence for reflection, integration and restoration.

Oban

We will have a couple of hours to shop and explore this bustling little port town. A gateway to many of the Islands where the railroad meets many Ferries, this is a bustling town for trade and a great spot to find some treasures to take home.

The Isle of Mull

After our ferry ride from Oban, we’ll journey across the Isle of Mull—an unforgettable one-hour drive through sweeping, cinematic landscapes that invite awe and photo-worthy pauses. From there, we’ll board our final ferry to the sacred Isle of Iona, where we’ll spend our last two nights in quiet beauty and celebration.
Each island we visit carries its distinct energy and spirit, offering a deepening sense of connection with every step.

The Isle of Iona

Iona is considered the place in Scotland where this world and the spirit world are closest and the veil between them is at it's thinnest. Iona has been a place of pilgrimage for hundreds of years. It is a stunning island with white sand beaches and rich terrain. We'll celebrate the Summer Solstice and the culmination of our journey, with the magic of Iona holding us. This will include a ceremonial walk of Iona's labyrinth, a crowning ritual, and a performance in one of the most ancient Abbeys in Scotland. This is a most auspicious opportunity to alchemize our prayers and initiate a new beginning.

'The rituals at Kilmartin Glen and at Iona were the highlights for me. I loved that we had time to ourselves to explore as well as time in circle.'
